Acts 2:37-39 NKJV
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
When you're in the presence of the Holy Spirit and hearing a Word from God, it's expected to have an prompting in your heart to repent, change the direction of your life and live in the freedom that comes through Christ Jesus. You're no longer bound or connected to your past. You are a new creature, old things have past away. You're alive in Christ! Enjoy the benefits of being a child of God. The promises of God are yours!
Prayer:
God, thank you for your Word. Your Word is good and true. I repent of my sins, create in me a clean heart. Search me God of anything that is not like you and take it away from me. I don't want to live by my flesh, but by your Holy Spirit. Thank you for convicting me of my wrongdoings so I won't stay in the same sin. You are such a loving Father. I honor you today. I walk in freedom and confidence in Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, amen.
