While you have a great calling on your life and great responsibilities, God still wants you to rest. He wants you to relax. He wants you to experience peace and serenity.
I encourage you to be intentional about creating space and time to relax. It's so important to not run-on E or be burned out. The Bible beautifully illustrates peace in Psalm 23: 1-3. It says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake."
So, whatever your green pastures look like, make that space. It could be sitting on your back patio, lounging on the floor with your favorite pillows in your living room or sitting on sand on the beach.
What kind of activities do you love to do but can't seem to find time for? Watering your flowers and plants? Playing catch with your dog? Reading your favorite magazines or books? Do it today. Close out this email and do it now.
Your mental space should not be cluttered. You were not created to live anxiously, worried or tired. Philippians 4:7 says, "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
So let God be with you today. Remember what He wants for you. He wants you to experience a full life of both purpose and peace.
Enjoy your day and stay faith-full.
Your sister in Christ,
