In the Will of God

And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, "Our sister, may you increase to thousands upon thousands; may your offspring possess the cities of their enemies." Genesis 24:60

In Genesis 22:15-18 God promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars and they will take possession of the cities of their enemies. And later in Genesis 24, Abraham's servant found a wife for his son Isaac within his clan. Rebekah's brother and mother's blessing was in alignment with God's will and God's promise. It is so powerful to be in the will of God and see His promise come to past. This is the result of obedience to God. Abraham was obedient to God when he walked up the mountain with his son in faith, not withholding his only son. Abraham's servant was obedient and went to his country to get a wife for his son. The servant was so obedient, and reverenced what he was told to do that he prayed he would be successful (Genesis 24:12).

As we begin 2024, let's follow the Word of God and be obedient to what God says, so that we will be so in alignment with His will, that we will see His promises come to past.

Prayer: God, You are all powerful and all knowing. You know what is best for us. You know what will bring us great favor, great mercy and great blessings. We ask that You speak, as we make ourselves available to You. We want to carry out Your work. We will follow Your plan. As we follow Your plan connect us with other people, families, partners and organizations that are in alignment with Your will. Let what they speak, without them knowing, be exactly what You said, exactly what You promised. We saw Your glory in 2023 and we want to see it again in 2024. We have a city to reach and bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are broken hearts that need to encounter the love of Jesus. There are families who need to be pulled out of darkness and into the light. Strongholds must come down. Give us a fresh anointing, Lord, and fill us with the Holy Spirit. We call you friend. We will walk with You, talk with You and do just what You say. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
