1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."
Living with expectancy of Christ's return requires intentional prayers. 1 Peter 4:7 says be serious and watchful in your prayers. Pray with wisdom from God and revelation from the Holy Spirit. As you serve, have a fervent love for one another. This kind of love covers a multitude of sins and brings people to Christ or back in communion or relationship with Him.
Prayer:
God, you are holy and I thank you. I can depend on you and see your goodness in everything. As I start my week, I ask you to give me wisdom and knowledge that is beyond my human understanding. I want to see what you are doing and give love that is bigger than me. I want to win more souls for Jesus Christ and be a bridge to welcome sons and daughters home. I don't want to miss an opportunity. Give me spiritual eyes to see people the way you see them. Let me hear their words and give them scriptures to help, encourage or celebrate them. Thank you for choosing me and giving me a spiritual gift to do these things. Thank you for your Holy Spirit. I give you all the glory. In Jesus' name, amen.
