Psalms 30:11 NLT
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.
It's easy to live in the moment of your emotions, talk through that emotion or act out that emotion. What if you resisted sadness? What if you sung through anxiety, and danced through doubt. Dance until it's under your feet!
When you take off these emotions or spirts and take up what God has for you, you have the victory! You don't have to wear what happened this week. Celebrate your victory today!
Prayer:
God, you are my joy. While things change around me, you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank you for taking away my sadness, anxiety and shame. I repent for not trusting you. Thank you for forgiving my sins and forgetting it. I see myself as you see me. My identity is not in what's popular in world, the mistakes I made or what someone else said. I know who I am. I am a child of God. I smile when I think about what you done because I know it was nobody but you. I give you all the glory. Today I will dance, shout, and bless your great name! I have the victory! In Jesus' name, amen.
