It takes vulnerability, relationship and true fellowship to confess your sins to someone. But in the scripture, it doesn't stop there--you pray for one another. You expose the enemy by bringing darkness to light and get God involved so He can heal and restore you. God makes all things new. Spend time with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Get to know each other. Share your heart and what you're going through. Have accountability with one another, not for rebuke, but for love and encouragement. When someone truly loves you, they can't let you go down the wrong path. And pray passionately from the heart of God, pursuing His presence and welcoming the Holy Spirit to give you the words to say so that you will leave each other's presence better than you came.Prayer:
God, thank you for your thoughtful intent. Thank you for your love. You did not create us to do life alone. You have planned divine encounters and strategically placed us around men, women, boys and girls that we can talk with, share our sins, and pray for one another. You did not create us to struggle, be down or lonely. You gave us the Comforter and lead us with wisdom to have special friendships that help us on our walk with Christ. Thank you that we can celebrate each other and see each other the way you see us. God, you are so good. We praise you now for healing, restoration and transformation. To overcome means to have authority and power. Jesus said he has overcome the world. Every issue, addiction, stronghold, all weariness and depression does not have the victory over you. As a child of God, you have authority over these things. Do not succumb to these spirits. Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you." Walk with this power today!
Prayer:
God, you reign and have all power and authority. Nothing is hard for you. You speak and it is so. You are Lord over my life and I worship you. I don't worship manmade remedies and steps, I know it's You. You are the answer in every situation. If I expect to see a transformation, I need You. So I walk with authority in Jesus name. I will declare scriptures in the presence of my enemies. Just as satan fled from Jesus in the wilderness when he spoke scriptures, satan will flee from me. Let the words of my mouth, and the mediation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. In Jesus' name, amen.

When you're in the presence of the Holy Spirit and hearing a Word from God, it's expected to have an prompting in your heart to repent, change the direction of your life and live in the freedom that comes through Christ Jesus. You're no longer bound or connected to your past. You are a new creature, old things have past away. You're alive in Christ! Enjoy the benefits of being a child of God. The promises of God are yours!

God, thank you for your Word. Your Word is good and true. I repent of my sins, create in me a clean heart. Search me God of anything that is not like you and take it away from me. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you chose the bread of life. When you put aside what you can comprehend here on earth based on what you see and fully acknowledge that there is a spiritual war going on, you're able to contend with the spirits your dealing with and not the person. Then, you will declare what the Lord has said (Isaiah 54:17), to the spirit that is up against you. Your joy, your peace in your mind, the love of God is yours. The lies and deception will not distract you or devour you. You will not be consumed with rejection and condemnation. You know who you are and what you have in the Lord.

God, thank you for being a great Father who knew what I needed before I was born. You spoke every word and every promise because you knew what I was going to be up against in this fallen world. You did not create me so that I would perish and live in defeat. The fragile, inconsistent, temporary peace the world gives will not deceive me. I will not find hope, peace, or fulfillment in the world. My hope is in you. I serve the Prince of Peace. I worship the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. You are my perfect peace. We have many examples in the Bible when God chose the least of those, who he used to do a mighty work. Esther was adopted, Moses ran away after committing murder, Nehemiah was a cupbearer. You see, it's not about what you have, what you know and what you're able to do. It's your yes to God. It's your obedience. It's your heart towards God's will to be done. It's your heart being burdened for what God cares about.

God thank you for seeing me as you have called me to be. I am not my title, I am not position, I am not where I live, and I am not what I have. God I hear you, and I trust your plan. I have a heart for the lost. I care about your people who are suffering. Whatever you are calling me to do in this moment, I say yes. For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When you're filled with Jesus, you're not looking for others to fill you up with compliments, attention or acceptance. Start your day with prayer. Be filled with the Holy Spirit so you're not looking to receive, but give. Give love, give joy, give kindness regardless of what's going on around you. That's the kind of peace you can only find in Jesus.

Lord, thank you for your peace that exceeds anything I can understand. Your peace guards my heart and mind as I live in Christ Jesus. I am not a victim and I do not carry offense. I see it as an opportunity to be the salt of the earth. I will be the light of the world in every place that I enter today. Lord, let my good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise you, Heavenly Father. Let my life minister to someone today. Give me the will to find strength in you. ]]>It may be too simple to believe, but I encourage you to speak the name of Jesus over your day, over your life and over your family. God's great name has power over your circumstances. He is in control.
And in the same way, proclaim the name of the Lord for every victory, win, and good thing that happens today. Give Him all the glory.
Our Heavenly Father deserves all the glory and praise. As you praise Him, you make way for His presence and His continual blessings over your life.

]]>Grace is synonymous with the word favor. It is an "inexhaustible supply of goodness, which is called grace. We cannot earn it, we do not deserve it, and we can never repay it, but He has made it abundantly available for free.” (Evans) James 4: 6 says, “But he giveth more grace.
Prayer is a specific means of grace and my personal favorite because it gives us access to power that we should not be authorized to use. But because God’s desire for salvation for His people, He allows us to have access to the Heavenly realm, here on earth. Acts 2:21 says, “And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.”
His Word becomes true as Jesus teaches us “thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” This is not by chance, coincidence or hope. This is accomplished with prayer. By communicating with God His will, His plan, and His purpose. The more you read the Bible—God’s living Word, the more you will get to know His character and recognize His presence. The Holy Spirit will reveal to you what God wants. And your heart’s desire will be towards God—thus your prayers will be in alignment with God’s will, and He will answer your prayers.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to serve in the Youth and Young Adults ministry. It was the first time I witnessed prayer and sincere worship before going out to pray with people. We wanted to be use by God mightily by God and see Hin work through use to serve and tell the Good News. We were in groups of 4 or 5 and we approached people to pray for them. There was a woman walking by. She agreed for prayer and shortly after was in tears because everything said in the prayer was true and relevant to her life. God used us to share His love and grace to this woman. Prayer was the vehicle to go into God’s presence and it gave her reassurance that God is with her, and she will be victorious.
James 5:15-16 says, “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

]]>Apostle Paul gives us an overview of ordo salutis in Romans 8:29-30. “For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.” (Christian Standard Bible (CSB).)
The sequent “order of salvation” is effective calling, regeneration, conversion, justification, adoption, sanctification, and glorification. Each step brings you closer to God and fully submersed in his sonship. It is by saving grace and nothing that you can earn yet given because God’s love for you. John 3:16 says, for God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. That is God’s plan for you. To bring you back home as his own—a child of God.
John 1:12 says, “But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name,” (Christian Standard Bible (CSB).) The act of adoption happens as you become a part of the family of God. In Dr. Toney Evan’s Commentary of Romans 8:14-15 he states, “If we walk according to the Spirit as God desires, we prove ourselves to be God’s sons. Not only are we sons (and daughters). But we are adopted children. If a person was adopted in Paul’s time, that individual immediately received all the rights of an adult heir. Their chief right that Paul mentions here is intimacy with God. We therefore can pray, Abba, Father. Abba is a term of intimacy meaning “Papa” or “Daddy.” We can say it with complete assurance that God is listening.” (Evans, 2019)
Salvation is a precious gift from God that we do not deserve. While we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us. So, our adoption in the family of God can never be provoked because it was never earned. When you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you are completely transformed and now led by the Holy Spirit, instead of being a slave to sin. When I came to understand God as my “Daddy” I became immovable in this everchanging world of sin. My past was behind me, and I now face every problem with my Father, who saves me.

]]>The communicable attribute of truthfulness (faithfulness) is the sound fact that every word of God is true. I intentionally use the word “sound” because it is pleasing to hear and comforting to know that not only is every word God has spoken true—He is the truth (John 14:6). That means he cannot lie. Numbers 23:19 says, God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
This attribute speaks to me the most because I am living in the full awareness of his truthfulness. Daily I recognize His faithfulness and fully praise Him with my whole heart, mind, and soul. His truthfulness has demolished satan’s plans to destroy my joy, peace, and confidence in God.
About 6 years ago, I was in a state of brokenness. I glorified my perceived failures by restating those things in my mind. I made my failure truth and completely ignored who God said He was and how He feels about me. But one day I decided to spend more time in prayer, worship and reading His Holy Word.
The more I read the bible, the more God revealed His faithfulness to me. He showed me that I am never alone, and He will never leave me or forsake me. He showed me that everything that was going on in my life was working for my good and that I am His child, a child of God.
There was a time when I felt alone. I was lonely, sad, and defeated. I lived in sadness instead of joy. My mouth was full of cries instead of praise. But God changed me. The more time I spent with Him in prayer, worship and reading His Word, He purified my mind and heart. I felt His presence, rather than dwelling in my feelings. The Bible says God inhabits the praises of His people. His word is true, so I kept a praise in my mouth. Whether I am alone or misunderstood, I know that God said in Hebrews 13:5, He will never leave me or abandon me.
Issues and discord were all around me. I wondered why God would allow me to experience such hardship, knowing I chose to live a sacrificial life dedicated to Him. I had the desire to live Holy and acceptable to Him, yet spiritual warfare visited me daily. But then I realized God’s faithfulness to my family and I throughout the years. I saw He had a greater calling on my life that required me to learn and grow in faith and in wisdom through trials. Romans 8:28 says, “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”
How blessed am I to have a calling on my life according to His purpose? How great can His purpose be, knowing that He is a great, mighty God? The Creator of the universe! Then my prayers were no longer focused on my desires alone—but His will.
He became bigger and bigger to me, and my identity became greater. I was no longer what man said, but who God said. I am a child of the Most High God. The truthfulness of God gave me the confidence and peace I never had before. I can now rest in storms and keep walking forward in troubled waters. God is the way, the truth, and the light.
The unchangeable nature of God guarantees that what He has proposed will be fulfilled by Him, for it is impossible for Him to lie (Hutabarat, 2015). So, the Bible will forever be fresh water for me. His Word restores my strength and increases my faith. It keeps me in the mind of Christ and not of this world.
Lastly, I realized that satan knows God’s truthfulness. That is why I was so easily distracted and believed I was too tired to pray or too busy to read scriptures. He has had thousands of years to practice twisting the truth to his own ends so he can attempt to tempt and trick us. (Morris, n.d.) I’m not fooled anymore and the moment I begin to think of myself contrary to the Word of God, the Holy Spirit quickens me and I get out of my feelings and into God’s presence. The truthfulness of God has set me completely free.

You know how a child is so excited about their birthday! They anticipated every year! Or if they’re like my children they anticipate it the moment their current birthday is over 😆 You see, they are so confident, and they know without any doubt that their parents are going to make it special for them. Some way and somehow they’re always going to come through.
Well God tells us about this. Matthew 7:11 says
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
So I say to you today—have great expectations! Your Heavenly Father is going to do great things for you! He has great plans for you! Your great days are not over! Have childlike faith!

While you have a great calling on your life and great responsibilities, God still wants you to rest. He wants you to relax. He wants you to experience peace and serenity.
I encourage you to be intentional about creating space and time to relax. It's so important to not run-on E or be burned out. The Bible beautifully illustrates peace in Psalm 23: 1-3. It says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake."
So, whatever your green pastures look like, make that space. It could be sitting on your back patio, lounging on the floor with your favorite pillows in your living room or sitting on sand on the beach.
What kind of activities do you love to do but can't seem to find time for? Watering your flowers and plants? Playing catch with your dog? Reading your favorite magazines or books? Do it today. Close out this email and do it now.
Your mental space should not be cluttered. You were not created to live anxiously, worried or tired. Philippians 4:7 says, "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
So let God be with you today. Remember what He wants for you. He wants you to experience a full life of both purpose and peace.

If you think you're always on the go and busy—imagine how much more God is doing in your life.
I pray that you see your blessings overlap your problems. Which brings me to my favorite verse this season:
Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
When I think of the word "cover", I think protection, comfort, and warmth. Multitude means a large number of people. The most consistent, never changing love we have is our love from God.
So, when I think of this verse it tells me that the love between me and God is greater than any problem, issue or circumstance. And this is the same love I want to give to others or cover them with. Because no matter what happens, God is still good. That does not change. So don't let life change you. Let God transform you (Rom 12:2).
Continue to be immovable, steadfast and faith filled through worship to God, mediation on His Word, and prayer to Him.

]]>I was driving across the bridge, entering my hometown, Jacksonville with all of my children in the car. My eyes started looking at the surrounding water wondering how deep it was. I started thinking "none of my children can swim". I felt uneasy considering the possibilities and then my mind snapped back to my normal sense--this bridge is good, it's stable, professional engineers built this and we will be okay.
That's when it hit me, why is it so easy for us to trust men and not God? We will drive across bridges and stay on the top floor at hotels but it's hard to believe that God is going to provide our needs, protect us from illness and that what is happening to us is happening for us. I was like wow, God I'm sorry. Give me confident faith. Give me bridge faith.
If you are second guessing God or don't have confident faith for a certain matter pray this prayer below:
Dear God,
Help us to have confident faith in You. No matter what the news reports, no matter what the statistics say, we trust in your almighty strength, sovereign power and the never ending love that you have for us. As our Heavenly Father, your children are asking that you increase our faith. Show your signs, perform miracles and make dry places in our lives overflowing again. Restore what was lost in our family. Make broken hearts whole. Touch our minds as we keep our mind on Jesus. Give us peace that doesn't make sense, overturning our circumstances.
Lord, thank you for the joy we have in You. You are so great! Your love is so faithful! Nothing will change our minds about You. No one will lead us astray from You. We've seen you move in our lives before and we know You will do it again! Lord give us exactly what we need so You will get all the glory! Thank you for your protection. We honor, praise, and bless Your Holy Name.

Good Morning Family!
Have you ever woke up feeling overwhelmed or the day knocked you off your feet by lunch? That my friend means you're considering your own strength and what you're capable of doing rather than resting in the fact that God will work it out.
Romans 8:28 KJV says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
When you operate with this in mind you feel less pressure, less anxiety and eliminate self doubt. Because it's no longer about you and your limitations--but all about the Sovereign Ruler who is working things out for your good regardless of how it goes.
There's peace in that. It's like knowing you're going to a concert without tickets, but you know your friend, who already knows the arena inside-out and the artists, has backstage passes waiting for you.
You walk differently and move differently when you know God got you. Yes you still have to get yourself together and get ready. Yes you have to drive there and even use the GPS to find it. But after you've done all you can do, and you're in the same place where He is, God got you.
That's why it's so important to put God first.
Matthew 6:33 KJV says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
When you seek the Kingdom of God first, that means you are seeking His presence on earth right where you are. And remember, when you are in the same place as Him--He got you!
So today, care less about what you're capable of and what you have the strength to do. Talk to God, turn on your worship music (loud or softly), sing to the Lord, listen to someone teach the Word of God, and read the Bible. Then watch God move in your circumstances and make it work for your good!
I'm trusting God and believing in His promises for you and your family today!

]]>We have 4 weeks left in the year and the load is not getting lighter. Instead, we are getting stronger! Every obstacle and act of resistance was strengthening us, sharpening our wisdom, and bringing us closer to God!
As we face (and not run away from) these last few weeks I encourage you to not be dismayed (Isaiah 41:10) or discouraged. No matter what your circumstances are, focus on God. I don't care what resources you have or the lack thereof--focus on God. Like Psalm 20:7 says--instead of trusting in tools/physical weapons/resources, we will remember and focus on the name of the Lord. There's power in His name!! I know this is true for myself. I know you do too!
