God Heals through Your Prayers

James 5:16

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

It takes vulnerability, relationship and true fellowship to confess your sins to someone. But in the scripture, it doesn't stop there--you pray for one another. You expose the enemy by bringing darkness to light and get God involved so He can heal and restore you. God makes all things new. Spend time with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Get to know each other. Share your heart and what you're going through. Have accountability with one another, not for rebuke, but for love and encouragement. When someone truly loves you, they can't let you go down the wrong path. And pray passionately from the heart of God, pursuing His presence and welcoming the Holy Spirit to give you the words to say so that you will leave each other's presence better than you came. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Walk in freedom today, in fellowship with others.

Prayer:

God, thank you for your thoughtful intent. Thank you for your love. You did not create us to do life alone. You have planned divine encounters and strategically placed us around men, women, boys and girls that we can talk with, share our sins, and pray for one another. You did not create us to struggle, be down or lonely. You gave us the Comforter and lead us with wisdom to have special friendships that help us on our walk with Christ. Thank you that we can celebrate each other and see each other the way you see us. God, you are so good. We praise you now for healing, restoration and transformation. We are whole through Christ Jesus. No more brokenness, no more pain, and no more shame. In Jesus' name, amen.
